Aster Aging is a nonprofit organization in Mesa, Arizona. As a marketing intern, I supported awareness and engagement for the Pet Program through research-informed content and social media execution.

Research, content strategy, blog writing, and social media design
Objective
Increase awareness and engagement for Aster Aging’s Pet Program through written research based content selection, coordinated blog and social media execution, and brand-aligned messaging over a period of 4 months.
Challenge
Maintain Aster Aging’s specific nonprofit brand voice in new messaging and content designed to increase visibility for the Pet Program.
Strategy
Researched non-profit and pet-related trends using SEMRUSH, Google Analytics, and Google Trends
Selected blog topics that align with audience interest (donors and participants)
Created coordinated social media posts to accompany each blog
Integrated donation asks that were in alignment with established brand practices
Execution
Wrote 1 weekly blog posts supported by audience data
Designed 2-3 per week social media graphics using Canva
Coordinated messaging across Aster Aging website, Facebook, and Instagram
Results and Impact
Increased consistency and visibility for the Pet Program by 20%

This internship has provided me with a unique opportunity to combine my analytical skills with my storytelling skills to obtain results that positively impact real people and animals. It also strengthened my ability to work within the confines of a brand voice.
